Sandra Anderson Baccus, Tony Conway and Jada and Tom Loveless hosted a private exhibition of select works by nationally renowned artist Phoebe Beasley for a chic crowd of connoisseurs and tastemakers. The exhibition, held at Mrs. Baccus’ lovely home, benefited Muphy-Harpst Children’s Centers, Inc., Meals on Wheels Atlanta/Senior Citizens Services and The David C. Driskell Prize, The High Museum of Art.
Members of the event’s host committee including Mo Akbar, Hattie Dorsey, Sally Dorsey & Herb Miller, Susan Forehand, Joanne Chesler Gross, Charlene and Earnest Ingram, Emily Saltino and Sharon Umphenour were on hand to welcome guests to this exclusive arts occasion.
Guests including Artist, Curator & Scholar David C. Driskell, Smithsonian Museum of African American History Curator Tuliza Fleming, Mrs. Ada Anderson, Evern Cooper Epps, Jane Dean, Alexandria and Valerie Jackson viewed and purchased Ms. Beasley’s vibrant paintings, which were artfully arranged throughout the already art-filled estate, and beautiful lakeside vignettes by Janine Jackson.
The elegant gathering, lavishly orchestrated by A Legendary Event, mellow music from the jazz trio, flowing bubbly and outdoor curtains billowing in the gentle breeze all contributed in making this a Masterpiece of a soirée. |
