Paws for celebration
New Leash on Life Co-Chairs Aida Flamm, Lisa Miller and David York, along with a team of local animal lovers, raised nearly $250,000 at the 3rd annual New Leash on Life cocktail reception and live auction fundraiser, benefiting lost and stray companion animals in Fulton County. The event was held on November 1, 2007 at the private home of Guy and Ginny Millner.
Event sponsors included Roy and Mary Jane Mallady. Leslie Fram of 99X-FM served as the masterful master of ceremony, and spirits were kept high and donated by DIAGEO and the festive Frank Mendez.
Highlights of the evening included a playful menu created and generously donated by David Covell and Sheryl Evertson Covell of Avenue Catering Concepts, which included Grrrrrrrrilled Tender Baby Lamb Chops, Puuurrrrfectly Crispy Chicken Yakitory, Claw's for A-paws Lobster Ravioli and The Cat's Meow Wild Mushroom Ravioli.
Pet-Set Patrons included New Leash Co-Founder Rhonda Milner, Alison Womack, Jada and Tom Loveless, Susan Forehand, Terri Slone, Marilyn Krone and her son Cameron Krone, as well next year’s New Leash on Life event chairs, Sandra Baldwin and Tony Conway.
