| UrbanCouture, Grady High School’s acclaimed fashion design program (with about 100 participating students), teamed up with Pets Are Loving Support (PALS) for a fashion show and fundraiser for the Pet Set, appropriately tagged “Doggies on the Catwalk.”
PALS is an Atlanta-based non-profit organization that provides free food and basic veterinary care to the pet companions of critically ill and disabled Atlantans.
Led by 2007 Grady High School Teacher of the Year E. Vincent Martinez and hosted by Bubba D. Licious, The doggonely divine event showcased cutting-edge fashions from emerging young designers.
Models included famous television and radio broadcast celebrities such as WSB’s Monica Pearson, CBS46’s Jennifer Mayerle, Leslie Fram of 99X, Mara Davis from DaveFM, Tom Sullivan, Cinda Boomershine from Movie and a Makeover, Miss Georgia USA 2008 Amanda Kozak, Dorothea Bozicolona-Volpe, Liz Lapidus, and Mitchell Anderson.
