| The Atlanta Ballet hosted the annual Atlanta Ballet Ball February 16, 2008 at the Piedmont Driving Club. Chaired by Mary Frances Garrett, this year’s theme was A Masquerade in celebration of the company’s performance of Romeo & Juliet at the Fox Theatre at the beginning of February. As the Atlanta Ballet’s largest fundraiser, this year’s Ballet Ball grossed over $360,000 for the Centre for Dance Education and its outreach programs.
This year’s honoree was Karen Vereb, an Atlanta Ballet Board Member and long time supporter.
The Atlanta Ballet will be presenting In the Upper Room at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre March 13-16 and will close their 2007-2008 season with big, a world premiere collaboration with Big Boi of Outkast, at the Fabulous Fox Theatre April 10-13.
