Artist Phoebe Beasley and her work of art "Exit at the Fair"

Art & Fashion melded beautifully at a private reception for renowned artist Phoebe Beasley, held at The Giorgio Armani Boutique at Phipps Plaza.

Specializing in oils-on-canvas as well as prints and collage, Beasley's works are featured in the homes of such notables as Oprah Winfrey, Bill Cosby, Maya Angelou and Atlanta collector Sandra Baccus.  Mrs. Baccus who has amassed an outstanding collection over more than 20 years said of Beasley, “I just love her as an individual and as an artist.”

Giorgio Armani General Manager Mohammad Akbar welcomed Charlene and Earnest Ingram, Tom & Jada Loveless, Mrs. Ada Anderson (Sandra’s elegant and darling mother) and Juan & Judith Montier to the fashionable fete.

“Phoebe Beasley's eye has never failed her; has never lied to her, and her art generously gives us beauty, information and always the truth.” - Maya Angelou

We ask you, can an artist receive a more resounding endorsement?  Well – yes.  She is the only artist to twice receive the Presidential Seal on her works.  Now that’s a thing of beauty.
